Error when executing `jupyter notebook` (-bash: jupiter: command not found) [Mac]

After installing jupyter

pip3 install --upgrade pip
pip3 install jupyter

and trying to launch 

jupyter notebook

the following error message appeared

-bash: jupyter: command not found

The solution:  

pip3 install --upgrade --force-reinstall --no-cache-dir jupyter
